Fruit Face is a sustainable, apparel focused small business based in San Francisco. The business evolved from Smiles by Mail to be a more scalable operation with a greater ability to make an impact in the world.

Fruit Face is a west coast western clothing brand that is made consciously and in small batches in San Francisco. You can purchase their apparel at seven locations in San Francisco and two in New York.

At launch, Fruit Face aimed to create high-quality, sustainable, locally made apparel and accessories. Inspired by early explorations with Smiles by Mail, alternative business models were experimented with at Fruit Face, including a 10% back program where 10% of revenue was donated to related non-profits. I’ve worked to develop graphics to be screen-printed on shirts and prints, create recycled packaging for mailing shirts, and design physical booth layouts for in-person sales.
